Delayed by computer and audio problems, we finally unleash the second part of our SHOCK STOCK 2011 coverage.

In episode #35, you heard the first part of our coverage from Shock Stock, the brand new horror and exploitation convention in London, Ontario. This week, we conclude our coverage by interviewing Michael Maggot (aka. Michael Todd Schneider) of Maggot Films. Aaron and Mr. Maggot discuss his latest experimental and psycho-delic horror film: And Then I Helped (which had its second-ever screening at Shock Stock). We also hear from Ryan O’Neil who composed the music for And Then I Helped and other Maggot projects.

To wrap up the episode, I check in with Fright Night Theatre’s Jay Winger as well as our buddy Rufus on an ill-fated drive home from Shock Stock. Since they got lost on the way out of London, Aaron had plenty of time to get their final thoughts on Canada’s newest horror convention.

You're all going to die down here.

Aaron rejoins No Class Kris at the mic for episode #36 of Screamwave. In this episode, Aaron and Kris exchange thoughts on Paul W.S. Anderson's RESIDENT EVIL (2002). Screamwave also debuts a new ongoing segment called TALES FROM THE CRYPT: FRIGHT COURT in which each episode of HBO's Tales from the Crypt is put on trial to determine whether the episode is ghoulish gold or creepy crap.

In Earth and Beyond, Aaron and Kris talk about the video of the Siberian "alien body" posted in April 2011, which leads to a discussion about the persistent nature of conspiracy theories and how, sometimes, no evidence is ever enough to dissuade hard-line believers.

Finally, the Screamwave crew address your listener feedback!

Join the show! Send in your thoughts or comments. In two weeks, we examine the episode "All Through the House" for TFTC: FRIGHT COURT. We want to hear from you.  Love that Tales from the Crypt episode? Hate it? Join the discussion as an expert witness.

Aaron, Jay Winger (of Horror in the Hammer's Fright Night Theatre), and Rufus (friend of the show) headed down to Shock Stock to interview some guests and take in all the grindhouse and gorey goings-ons. In this episode, you will hear interviews with the filmmakers of IF A TREE FALLS and hear Aaron go one-on-one with JON MIKL THOR, star of Rock 'N' Roll Nightmare and Thor: The Rock Opera. We also sat down to record an involving and insightful conversation about women in exploitation film with Lianne Spiderbaby, Fangoria author and co-host of Fright Bytes.

Part two is on its way. For now, come join as we talk exploitation films, movie trailers, and the sleazy side of cinema.

Apologies in advance for the uneven audio quality of this episode. Circumstances conspired against Aaron and No Class Kris from meeting face-to-face this week, so the majority of this episode is conducted over Skype.

This week, Aaron and vampire-aficionado Barbara bring you another installment of FANGS ON FILM. This time they look at the misleadingly-titled THE VAMPIRES’ NIGHT ORGY (1974).

Then in Earth and Beyond, Aaron and Kris find it hard to keep open minds and straight faces when discussing the dubious new footage of Knobby the North Carolina Sasquatch that is making the rounds on the internet. For context, they also look at the hilarious video of a North Carolina Big Foot witness from 2010.

NEW CONTEST! Submissions are now open in the CREATE A KAIJU CONTEST. Write a description for a brand new, giant Japanese monster and enter for your chance to win a copy of MOTHRA vs. GODZILLA and the American version of GAMMERA THE INVINCIBLE. The winner will also get their imaginary kaiju drawn by Screamwave co-host No Class Kris.

All this plus listener feedback is ready to feed on your eardrums.

A curse befalls Screamwave. A curse of mediocre and bad movies!

This week, Aaron and No Class Kris discuss a disappointing horror/sci-fi  double feature: THE CURSE (1987) and THE CURSE II: THE BITE (1989). In one, a farmer blames God's hand for cursing his farm with mutations and monstrosities. In the other, a man blames his murderous actions on his own hand, which is mutating into a snake. Yes, a snake!

Then, in Earth and Beyond, Aaron and Kris comment on the recent story of a Canadian who lived after being hit by a train.

Also this episode, Kris interviews Tony Faville, author of Kings of the Dead, and one half of the Wasteland Wanderers podcast. Zombies. Survival. Guns. Kris and Tony talk about it all.

All this plus listener feedback is coiled and ready to strike.

A living, crawling hell on earth.

After discovering a mutual dislike for spiders, your hosts Aaron and No Class Kris decided to devote Screamwave #32 to a brief look at some horror films and horror comedies in which death comes creeping on eight furry legs.

In this episode, Aaron and Kris briefly discuss the William Shatner vs. Tarantulas cult classic KINGDOM OF THE SPIDERS (1977), the Frank Marshall-directed ARACHNOPHOBIA (1990), and the CGI B-movie throwback EIGHT LEGGED FREAKS (2002).

Spiders even crawl into this week’s installment of Earth and Beyond when Aaron and Kris talk about a man whose fear of spiders just might be the death of him. Screamwave puts spiders aside, however, for a look at the cute and quirky side of strange animals: a cat with a penchant for thievery.

All this plus listener feedback awaits you in the spider’s web.
